One of the premier flying sites in Australia. We have an unrivaled history stretching back to some of the first ever experiments in flight done by Lawrence Hargrave in the late 19th Century. Today, as then, we have the privilege of flying a beautiful stretch of the coastline between Sydney and Wollongong.

This is the website of FlyStanwell, formerly the Stanwell Park Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club (SPHGPC). The role of the club is to maintain the flying site for the use and enjoyment of the membership and promote the sport within the community. We cater for pilots of all abilities and try to foster an atmosphere of safety, encouragement and enjoyment. If you're just thinking of trying flying out then take a look at our instructors section.

Celebrating 50 Years of FlyStanwell! Join us in celebrating half a century of flight, community, and history above the iconic cliffs of Stanwell Park! FlyStanwell Incorporated warmly invites visiting pilots, past members, local community supporters, and families to mark our 50th Anniversary Celebration. Whether you’ve flown Bald Hill for decades or simply love watching the gliders soar, come enjoy a memorable evening of celebration, history, guest speakers, great food, and camaraderie as we toast to 50 years of soaring and look ahead to the next 50. 🎟️ IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FINANCIAL MEMBERS: FlyStanwell Financial Members: Please log in to your FlyStanwell account prior to selecting your tickets to unlock your member ticket pricing and access.
